Dream City Exhibition

I saw an exhibition recently. The title was 'Dream City'.

Some of the students used quilting to express their ideas.

Their works were so pretty. They may give you idea on what to quilt, lol!

It was so surprising to receive a customer's message, telling me that she had posted her sewing work onto her blog.

Her sewing work was done with the sewing kit that I sold to her.

And this customer is my shop's No. 1 Fan, who had bought from my shop repeatedly. Thank you so much!

French Knot

If you want to sew small eyes on a doll face, do little flowers, or as a filling stitch to fill in small circles and centre of flowers, you can use French knot.

Blanket Stitch

Blanket stitch is used for working the edges of table-covers, mantel valances, blankets, etc., or for edging any other material, including clothing. The blanket stitch is similar to the method used for the buttonhole stitch but there is more space between the stitches and a definite requirement for even regularity. This stitch is also quite easy and would be a good project to do with kids!

Running Stitch

From now on, I will introduce different sewing stitch types for readers' easy reference.


Running stitch is worked from right to left. Several stitches can be picked up on the needle at once before pulling the needle through. (See figure 1 as well as the York seam in figure 11.)

Just finished this card holder. It is so lovely!

I will sew my son's name on the pink area. My son must like that!

Craft for Kids - Lovely Cat Key Holder

I have finished sewing the cat key holder.

I like this key holder. Because it can prevent the keys from scratching other things in the bag.

Children must like it, as it looks so lovely.

Most important, with big key holder, children will not lose their keys so easily.
